FAQ - MOD
Q What is MOD?
A MOD stands for Media-On-Demand. MOD titles are only manufactured (burned onto DVD-ROM)
when the customer place orders for MOD titles. Hence, MOD titles are always in stock and never on backorder at the supplier.
Q The why do the status of some MOD titles on your site show "backorder" or "out of stock"?
A That means we do not physically have them in our warehouse. However, after you place
your MOD order, it'll take about 2 weeks turnaround time to have the MOD manufactured and received at our warehouse.
Q What is available on MOD?
A
There is a broad catalog of MOD titles available from
Fox Cinema Archives,
Warner Archive,
MGM Limited Edition,
Sony Choice Collection,
MTV Reality Programs, CBS Home Entertainment,
VCI Vault Collection and other
libraries as they become available.
Our MOD Collection currently has well over 2000 titles and more titles are
being made available on a monthly basis over the next several years at the rate of 100+ per month.
Q Why do MOD titles seem to miss the street dates?
A
In the MOD universe, the street date refers to the manufacturing date, as product cannot be manufactured
prior to this date. For this reason, new releases will not arrive in our warehouse until
approximately 2 weeks from the street date.
If your favorite titles are out of stock, you can make a request
through this link. Your request will be
made exclusively on-demand and turnaround time to our warehouse is approximately 2 weeks.
Q What if I ordered the wrong disc? Can it be returned?
A
Because MOD products are manufactured on-demand, returns for any reason other than
defects are not permitted.
